Still Wishin’ I was at Winnipeg Folk Festival…..

We were stoked to be able to offer some high end nutrition over the five days not only with Hemp Bliss but our Hemp Hearts were definitely a big time hit as well! We gave out thousands of Hemp Heart sample bags to many thankful festival goers and campers who in return offer some kind words and a smile.

We also had the opportunity to provide Hemp Hearts and Hemp Bliss backstage for the La Cuisine Kitchen which feeds an incredible amount of volunteers, performers and crew over the duration of the festival (Hats off to Chef Alex and team)! This was our 5th year as an exhibitor and sponsor and by far the best year ever. This is truly due to the amazing work of the Manitoba Harvest Folk Fest Crew!! You also know who u are!!! Special thanks  goes out to my two apprentices, Zoe and Annie, you kids rock!!

April showers may bring out May flowers, but for us, it also showered us with events to support. Here are a list of events that will feature Hemp Heart samples this month:

There are not a whole lot of events that go on for us during February as we really take this month to gear up for our largest trade event of the year in March (Natural Products Expo West – Stay tuned next month for more about that show).

In the meantime, we do stay involved in shows that are near and dear to our hear as we go West to one show and have a couple events that we are providing samples for.

Our booth will be at the Vancouver Wellness Show from February 17-19, 2012 in Vancouver, BC. We are also giving away Manitoba Harvest hemp food samples at the Toronto Kids Fest from February 17-19 and the  Best of Raw event in San Francisco, CA on February 19.

We’re getting back into the swing of events and tradeshows here at Manitoba Harvest and January has already started out to be busy and exciting (just the way we like it around here). We will be at the following shows this month. This is a picture of a show we are at right now actually, at the Western Canadian Crop Production Show in Saskatoon, SK (Canada).

The 37^th Winter Fancy Foods Show: January 15-17, 2012 in San Francisco, CA. Each year the 17,000+ Winter Fancy Food Show attendees discover more than 80,000 products featuring the world’s finest foods and beverages from more than 1,300 exhibitors representing 35+ countries. If you are in the area, be sure to stop by. We’ll be at Booth #3239.

Brandon Ag Days: January 17-19, 2012 in Brandon, MB (Canada). This expo features agricultural production expertise, technology and equipment that attracts exhibitors and visitors from across Canada and North Central United States. This is a great show for us to get in front of farmers and encourage them to grown hemp!

We’re off to San Francisco GreenFest this month from November 12-13. This is the Green Festival’s 10 year Anniversary in which they inspire and promote the connection between change and sustainable progress for people, community and business. The festivities include 125 renowned authors, leaders and visionaries, workshops, kid’s activities, organic beer & wine, vegan & vegetarian cuisine and live music. It’s only $10 to enjoy this event so why not stop by and take it all in? If you do, visit us for free hemp food samples at our booth!

We’re very excited to be part of Canadian Organics Week! This week is all about celebrating organics products, making healthy life choices and recognizing that eating organic foods will help make a positive difference at an environmental and social level.

There are a ton of events that you can get involved in during Organic Week and there is also an awesome ‘Organic Breakfast Challenge’ contest until October 22, 2011.

This month marks two annual events that are both very close to our heart.

#1 – its Non-GMO month as we mentioned in an earlier post which for us, helps to showcase that all of our products are certified as non-genetically modified.

#2 – it’s Organics Week from October 15-22 here in Canada, which also fits in with Manitoba Harvest, as over half of our products we sell are Certified Organic! We will be talking much more about Organics week starting October 15!

SupplySide West 2011: October 12-13, 2011 in Las Vegas, NV. SupplySide is the world’s largest event for healthy and innovative ingredients and a must-attend show for manufactures, marketers and formulators of foods and beverages (hence why we attend). There are over 1,300 booths and 8,500 at this massive event. If you happen to be going check us out at BOOTH #27036.

Green lifestyle & Natural Living Show: October 22-23, 2011 in Winnipeg, MB (Canada). Winnipeg Green Lifestyle & Organic Living show is an affordable, interactive event for individuals of all ages. The $10 admission includes seminars, guests speakers, fashions shows, Green Table Organic Cooking Stage shows, green film screenings, chances to win prizes and gifts and much more! We’ll be there handing out hemp samples so come stop by our booth!

Where in the world is Manitoba Harvest?
This past weekend, we donated hemp food samples to the Rally for Real Food event at the Texas State Capital. We were also handing out hemp food samples to the Twin Cities Marathon!

Later in October we will be sending Hemp food samples to the Vancouver Health Show & Boston Veg Festival. Both shows run from October 29-30, 2011.

An Event Close to Our Hemp Hearts!
We also wanted to mention the “Right2know March”, running from October 1-October 16, 2011. This event encourages walkers to come out and take a stand to foods that are Genetically Engineered and have not been proven safe. Fall is such a busy time for us here at Manitoba Harvest, as it really is our ‘trade show/consumer event’ season! Events that we send samples to and participate in go on all year, but today we wanted to give you a little more insight on a couple of shows happening next week.

Natural Products Expo East – September 22-24, 2011: Baltimore, MD
This is the East coast’s largest natural, organic and healthy products trade show. We’re excited to be exhibiting once again and featuring our newly rebranded Hemp Hearts, 32oz containers of our hemp protein powder and of course, the other products you know and love, including hemp oil and Hemp Bliss. ADA Food & Nutrition Conference & Expo – September 24-27, 2011: San Diego, CA. The American Dietetic Association’s (ADA) food and nutrition conference and expo is the premier event for nutritional professionals (hence why we’re there)! Over 8,000 registered dietitians, nutrition science researches, policy makers, health-care providers and industry leaders attend. If you’re attending, be sure to stop by our booth (#542) at the show.
