For me, life is all about feeling good. And what makes me feel good? Eating clean. That’s right. It’s that simple!
Lean proteins, healthy fats, fresh fruits and vegetables. No processed foods, no ingredients you can’t pronounce. A trip to the farmer’s market can round out your meals to make Clean Eating simple from sunrise to sunset. Think about it this way. You want to fuel that body of yours and what better way to do that with high quality, clean food? My meals and snacks always include Manitoba Harvest products, mainly because I love the taste but also because they’re a great source of protein. So, how do I include these tasty hemp foods into my day? It’s easier than you think.
Living in the Big Apple of Manhattan, life can get a bit busy to say the least but I always make sure for a bit of Manitoba Harvest Hemp Foods & Oils in my daily gluten-free, clean eats. For breakfast try Hemp Hearts in your morning oatmeal, Hemp Bliss in your tea or Hemp Seed Butter atop whole grain toast. How about a mid morning snack of Chocolate Hemp Protein Powder mixed into your Greek yogurt with ground cinnamon? Lunchtime can consist of Hemp PRO Fiber mixed into your hummus served with fresh salsa, fresh herbs, avocado and grilled veggies wrapped into a whole grain tortilla. Start your dinner off with Hemp Hearts in your salad and finish off the meal with baked tofu atop quinoa, dried cherries, Hemp Hearts and a touch of Hemp Oil. When a sweet tooth hits in the evening hours, take a decadent spoonful of Hemp Seed Butter with organic honey atop fresh berries; I guarantee it’ll hit the spot. Simple. Clean. Gluten-Free and delicious!
It’s amazing how easy clean eating can be if you just take a bit of time each weekend to map out your meal plan for the week ahead. Don’t get discouraged as it takes time to adjust and you’ll thank yourself in the long run when you are feeling great and bouncing with energy from eating clean, wholesome, non-processed foods.
